How are balances calculated?
Each expense is split equally between the people you pick for it. Your balance is what you paid minus your share, adjusted for payments you've recorded. TripCent then finds the fewest transfers that settle everyone. Tap "How is this calculated?" on the Balances tab for an example.
Do my friends need the app?
No. One person tracks the trip. You can share a summary image or text with the group through any messaging app.
How does iCloud sync work?
If your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, TripCent syncs automatically through your private iCloud. Check the status in You → Settings → Data. Everything also works offline and syncs when you're back online.
Someone joined the trip late. How do I handle it?
Open the trip → Members → add them. TripCent asks whether to include them in earlier expenses or only new ones.
Someone paid me back in cash. How do I record it?
On the Balances tab, tap "Record a payment", or tap "Mark paid" on a suggested transfer.
Can I edit a trip after wrapping it up?
Yes. Open the trip's ⋯ menu and choose "Reopen trip". Payments you've already recorded are kept.
How do I switch between Ocean and Hill?
Go to You → Settings → World. The app icon can follow your world, too.
How do I delete my data?
You → Settings → Delete everything. This removes your data from this device and your private iCloud.
